One of the top framing companies in Texas is looking for a Project Manager in Houston. Job Summary The Project Manager reports directly to the Project Manager. The PM is responsible for the solicitation of project documents and information, ensures that all information is put into the hands of hub estimators, support team members as well as outside vendors through a functional RFP procedure. The PM is responsible for following up on all outstanding RFP's to ensure the project bid date is hit. During the estimating process the Asst. PM solicits additional information from the client on behalf of the estimator, or ensures the estimator is gathering the information of their own accord. Responsibilities include: o Review Plans & Specs o Review Material list and compare to job specs o Review Scope of Work o Create proposal with cost of material and labor o Review Contract with Customer Buyout subcontractors: o Work with Project Coordinators to put together subcontractor work order / scope of work o Work with and report to Commercial Operations Manager daily Daily Reporting o Job Conditions o Man Power o Work in Place vs. Schedule o Ensure Quality Control o Ensure Safety is met Coordinate material deliveries with production flow Sign off o Labor pay applications o Work with Project Coordinator to produce pay application to customers o Approve General Conditions expenditures Initiate RFI's Required Skills Proficiency using Microsoft Office Proficiency using construction estimating software. Required Experience Experience in Multi-Family wood framing codes and best practices. Minimum 3-5 years of progressive responsibility estimating for the construction industry. Experience in contract negotiation with subcontractors and vendors as well as buyout. Experience managing a project budget. Proficiency using Microsoft office.
